Annual General Meeting

Yesterday was our 21st Annual General Meeting, which was a great opportunity to summarise everything we have achieved over the past year, and what we are working towards for next year.

We had a variety of speakers on the day. Moira Nicolson, our director reported on the main highlights for us as an organisation over the past year.

These are:

• Service expansion across all regions we work in: Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire (see our website for full details of service criteria)

• Maintaining our service quality

• Supporting 2000+ clients over the year

• Continuing (and expanding!) work by our Engagement and Involvement team

• Working towards creating our own accreditation programme

Simon Malzer, a researcher who has been working with us on a project spoke about the work we have been doing to engage with older people from the ethnic minority communities in Glasgow’s Southside.

Diane and Francis gave an update on the work Listen Up Lanarkshire have been doing over the past year.

To close we had some poetry from Jo McFarlane. If you want to read more about Jo you can view her website here.

We would like to thank everyone that has supported us and the work we do. Here’s to another year!
