Carers Week 2018

Carers Week 2018 will be taking place from 11th to 17th June. This year, the focus will be supporting carers to stay Healthy and Connected. It is important that communities support carers to look after their loved ones well, but also recognise that carers are individual with health and well-being needs of their own. Around 6.5 million people in the UK provide valuable unpaid support to family, children and friends, it is calculated that this saves the economy £132 Billion pounds per year. Every day in the UK 6,000 people take on a caring role. Finding out information about the services and rights that you may be entitled to can be a challenge. Here is some information on Carers Week which includes links to information and resources. If you are in the South Lanarkshire area and are an adult caring for an adult with Mental Health issues we can also provide information on your rights and offer assistance accessing services. For more information on this service please contact us on 0141 420 0961. For information in relation to this event, please click here.
