Examples of advocacy
The Advocacy Project was approached by a group of older people living in a particular area. They were all tenants of the same housing association, and all had problems with their windows and doors. Advocacy Workers assisted the group of residents to meet and discuss their issues. With continued advocacy support, the group then worked together on a course of action which ended with the Housing Association agreeing to replace all residents' windows and doors in the area.
