Recruitment – SDS Co-ordinator

The organisation has recently secured  Scottish Government, “Support in the Right Direction” funding to provide independent advocacy support to people navigating the Self Directed Support process across the geographical areas we currently serve. We are looking for an SDS Co-ordinator to lead and facilitate this new project. The successful candidate will preferably have skills and experience in Self Directed Support and Independent Advocacy in Scotland. We are looking for an individual with a commitment and understanding of our value base, to adopt a co-productive approach with a range of partners across the field of SDS. We are looking for bright, dynamic individuals who are committed to the principles of equalities and human rights to join our team. The Advocacy Project has over 25 years experience in empowering individuals to know their rights and be involved in decisions that affect their lives. As a learning organisation, we are proud of the investment that we put into our staff and the opportunities provided to develop skills and talent within the workplace. We are now recruiting for the position of Trainee Advocacy Worker. The successful candidate will be offered a traineeship which includes a robust induction programme, and will receive work based learning and development to work towards completing the accredited Professional Practice Award in Independent Advocacy (SCQF rated level 7).
