The Advocacy Project has been delivering independent advocacy support to vulnerable people for over 18 years, providing a professional service across 4 local authorities and a range of client groups. management position as well as two newly created posts focussing on the

Operations Manager
35 Hours - starting salary �31,300 rising to �33,959
To manage effective operational services across
Lanarkshire, you will be responsible for the delivery of advocacy services
contracted by both local authorities. With a focus on quality you will be managing,
leading and motivating a team of advocates, providing support, development and
inspiration to ensure our services continue to achieve and improve their high standards.

Engagement and Involvement Manager
35 Hours - starting salary �31,300 rising to �33,959Leading on the management and development of user
involvement activity within the organisation, you will promote the use of
advocacy skills to facilitate meaningful engagement with people who use services. Developing innovative and
creative means to overcome barriers to communication and promote this as a valued
and vital part of service improvement. The aim is to ensure people who use
services are effectively consulted, either individually or collectively, and provide
a positive contribution to future development.
Funding is confirmed initially for 12 months and will be subject to review in July 2011
Involvement Development Co-ordinator
35 Hours - starting salary �21,368 rising to �22,744
Along with the Engagement & Involvement Manager,
you will focus on consultation and involvement for people who are often
dependent on services. You will co-ordinate facilitation and support to build
the confidence and capacity of individuals who are often marginalised. By liaising
with providers of care services you will encourage and promote effective and
meaningful involvement at all levels.
